Full job description

Post of Typesetter (apprenticeship) with Kessler & Sons, Printers, Brennholt. Start by arrangement. You will set type by hand and machine, correct proofs and lock up the formes. The first three months are a trial period on full pay.

Requirements

Applicants should have passed the leaving examination in arithmetic and composition. The apprenticeship lasts three years. Applicants must be available to work on Declaration Day afternoons by rota.

What the employer offers

1,850 marka a month, paid monthly in arrears. Holidays with pay, a Christmas bonus by custom of the house, and a subsidised meal each working day.
