Applying for a job
Online or by letter
Most employers on Stellenmarkt take applications online: press Apply now on the vacancy, answer three questions, and the application reaches the personnel office the same day. The rest take letters only; each of those vacancies has a letter of application laid out for printing. Give the reference, and enclose copies of your certificates. Do not send originals.
Your papers
Employers may ask to see your papers of residence and your record of service. Apprentices under eighteen apply with the signature of a parent or guardian. Former soldiers of the Marsh Regiments may enclose their discharge certificate in place of references.
Help at the town hall
Advisers of the Employment Office of The Ministry of the Interior help with letters and certificates, free of charge, on weekday mornings. The Office does not forward applications.
